About the Author
My name is Alesya Harkusha, born in Kherson, Ukraine, and now based in Miami, Florida. My artistic journey encompasses various mediums, including digital photography, painting, collages, and children's book publishing.
My soul is drawn to artistic endeavors that began as a hobby with a self-portrait.
A fascination with the pictures, the intricate world of photoshoots, and photography equipment has driven my artistic development.
My journey into art began with a basic understanding of photography and no formal art education. My curiosity to explore galleries, museums, and the realm of paintings eventually led me to enroll in Art University in 2022.
I have a deep appreciation for color. My creative process serves as a sanctuary, offering respite from the bustle of daily life and nurturing positive thoughts. My work often centers around themes of children and animals, reflecting my profound affinity for both.
My first book, "I Want to Be a Famous Camera," is a vibrant story of children's dreams, inspiring them to achieve the impossible. My second book sheds light on the devastating effects of plastic pollution - an action call for a crucial issue.
The world is an artistic masterpiece but one in danger.
Miami is a place that provides endless inspiration – the art of nature that surrounds us fills us with wonder.

Art is about Expression and Impression
Art is my ultimate avenue for expression and impression - a journey into the mesmerizing world of creativity. It all began when I picked up a camera, determined to explore the very essence of the art.
As I expanded my horizons, I found myself in narratives through books, crafting illustrations, and experimenting with forms of art that resonate with me, with dedication, relentless practice, and tirelessly learning from the masters who came before me.
My art isn't just about visuals; it's about creating conversations and inspiring action. My portraits reveal the raw truth and beauty that often remain concealed behind exterior appearance.
Learning from the great, I've pushed the boundaries of my work. I find myself frequently drawn to the blend of found objects and orchestrated scenes. I create collages and mixed media works as subjects. I use unique fusions to amplify the urgency of topics such as sustainability, the devastation of our ecosystems, and the role of consumerism.
As my work evolves, I actively seek new ways to capture a more profound comprehension of both.
