Tons of plastic end up in the ocean and other waterways every year.

Plastic pollution overwhelms the environment and has become one of the most pressing issues.
Microplastics are created by plastic and are found in marine debris from surface waters to deep-sea sediments. The consumption or entanglement of plastic waste causes severe injuries and death to marine animals. We are all affected by the pollution in the water.
When I imagined creating this piece, I thought of how I could bring to attention this very plight.
Garbage collection is the essence of the state of oceans today.
Many conveniences come with plastics, but they are often laden with additives that make them stronger. Based on some estimates, plastic should last 400 years before it degrades.
Every sea creature is struggling to survive in the world we have overrun with our selfishness.
I want to encourage the viewer to pause and reflect on their carbon footprint and what they could do to reduce the waste they create daily.

Spirit Animal
A spirit animal may be considered a guide or protector who shares the characteristics of
the individual or embothose characteristics. The appearance of spirit animals is often a sign
of spiritual awakening. Spirit animals are sometimes perceived as guardian angels
in disguise or as intuitive Universal signs.
You do not choose your Spirit Animal; it chooses you.
Make no attempt to "compel" your Spirit Animal to manifest itself merely because you wish it to. Spirit Animals only appear when you are ready to accept them and the wisdom they offer.
There are various ways in which spiritual guides may communicate with us, and you may connect with yours through the face of an animal you are familiar with.
You might feel close to many members of the animal kingdom, or you might feel close to a Power Animal. You can navigate life with ease, faith, and confidence if you have a special animal guide.
