The story is based on the author’s real-life pets, Ymka, Miami, and April. Every page is a real-life art project that was incorporated into the story, such as purchasing animal masks and asking strangers to wear them for a photo shoot. The author also made a recycled collage featuring an Orca whale at the beach.

Ukrainian Alesya Harkusha is an artist who follows her dreams. She has taken a leap from portrait photography to book publishing. Alesya uses her real-life events for the stories in her books. Her first book, "I Want to Be a Famous Camera," inspires kids to succeed in their ambitions to achieve the impossible.
